Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Poku aims at becoming a legend of the club as he wants to leave mark before departing. The 21-year-old attacker joined the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year contract last year from second-tier Nkoranza Warriors. He is in contention to making his competitive debut for the Ghanaian giants in Ghana Premier League this Sunday. The proven goalscorer says leaving a legacy at Asante Kotoko is one of his priorities at the club. "It is said that if you want to be ready for the gain, then you should be prepared for the pain," he told the Asante Kotoko YouTube channel. "As I have come to hear about the legacy they left during their time here, I will also try to live up to expectation. So that after my time here, they will mention my name among the great legends of the clubs. "I want to leave a legacy behind so that furture strikers that arrive here will also hear of my name." Poku has been in scintillating position form in the pre-season where he has scored 5 goals in 6 matches. Asante Kotoko begin their season with a home game against Eleven Wonders on Sunday 15 November 2020 at the Accra Sports stadium.
