Asante Kotoko defender Patrick Asmah upbeat about club's chances in CAF Champions League

Asante Kotoko defender Patrick Asmah is confident that the club can chalk success in the CAF Champions League The 24-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors this summer after spending almost four years in Europe. He played for Atalanta BC, US Avellino, US Salernitana and FK Senica. Asmah comes into the fold with loads of experience having also played for Ghana at the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2015 in New Zealand. The highly-rated left back believes Asante Kotoko have a solid team that can win a continental competition. "Everyone expects Kotoko to go to Africa, proceed to the final and deliver the cup. We the players having engaged ourselves and also undergoing training remain confident that God willing we can go far," he told the club's YouTube channel. "If the chance to win comes, we shall conquer Africa God willing." Asante Kotoko have been drawn against Mauritanian champions FC Noaudhibhou in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League qualifiers.
