Hearts of Oak legend Amankwah Mireku expects more from Emmanuel Nettey this season

Hearts of Oak legend Amankwah Mireku has urged midfielder Emmanuel Nettey to unlock more of his potentials this season as the club seeks to end their Ghana Premier League title drought. Hearts have not lifted the league trophy in over a decade and according to Mireku, who won seven league titles with the Phobians, the fans are desperate for the drought to end. For Amankwah Mireku, the club’s chances of winning the league will be huge if best player Nettey is in top form. “We are expecting wins and nothing else, we are expecting victories and nothing else, we are expecting trophies and nothing else because the supporters have yearned for such occasion,” he said. “The expectation is high and therefore we cannot wait anymore so we are just expecting the players to deliver. “I think Emmanuel Nettey has been my favourite player so far. “I’m expecting him to deliver more, to do more than what he has done and what we know of him and so we are expecting more from him,” he added. Hearts open their season account in Dormaa against Aduana Stars.
